Recently, Kelly Cantwell had an opportunity to collaborate with Alina Dizik with the Wall Street Journal on the expanding luxury market in Columbus.  According to Aaron Renn, senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, we have the fastest growing urban area in the Midwest.  Due to the number of mid-career professionals relocating to Columbus, we also have an expanding luxury market.  Certain areas of growth include the downtown, Short North & German Village in the city proper, and the suburban areas of Bexley, Dublin, Grandview Heights, New Albany & Upper Arlington.

Today's luxury buyer tends to fall into one of two categories - those looking to renovate or those interested in new construction.  The historic communities of German Village, Bexley, Grandview Heights, Short North & Upper Arlington are within the I-270 outer beltway and are convenient to downtown Columbus.  These neighborhoods are rich in architectural design and stunning historic homes.  The expanding neighborhoods of Dublin & New Albany feature new construction with elements that many of today's buyers are looking for in a home.
